Security

The threat of terrorism and heightened concerns around global supply chain security are bringing about significant changes to the regulations and documentation requirements for international trade. In this increasingly complex security environment, choosing the right supply chain partners has never been more important.

Westwood has participated in several security initiatives with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) including electronic seal testing and Operation Safe Commerce (OSC) projects. We are constantly reviewing our procedures to ensure secure systems are in place.

C-TPAT Certified

A critical part of our security procedures is our certification with the U.S. Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT).

C-TPAT is a joint government-business initiative supported by Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The objective of C-TPAT is to promote global supply chain security by developing voluntary cooperative relationships with importers, carriers, terminal operators, brokers, warehouses, and manufacturers.

As required for acceptance into C-TPAT, Westwood has conducted and submitted to U.S. Customs a comprehensive self-assessment of our internal security practices as well as those of our vendors. We encourage all of our business partners to enroll in this program. Westwood is fully committed to supporting the mission of C-TPAT and sharing the benefits of participation with our customers.
